This enchantress is a swoon worthy Earl Stephens Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Daydreamy red fruit, subtle spice, harmoniously balanced, and lovely from start to lingering finish. For Pinot Noir, this wine gave me everything I love in a full-bodied red—that velvety texture, earth, and richness, all while remaining true to what one loves in a Pinot Noir. Red fruit with finesse, strawberry, raspberry, some black cherry complimented with just the right amount of spice, silky tannins that do not overpower, and the perfect amount of acidity to keep it mouthwateringly bright.
I paired this wine with a bag of dill pickle kettle chips and hot salsa (kidding). This one was absolutely sipped and savored on its own. Age worthy, but just enjoy it now. Life is short and the special occasion to open a beautiful bottle is today.

Domaine Della is an artisan, boutique winery in Sonoma County, California and is named after winemaker David Hejl’s mother. The flower on the label is an iris, her favorite flower, and the single red petal represents “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is real, whatever is pure in the blueprint: discovery and execution of our lives is for us to consider that we were born to be loved and this petal reminds us of the Love, Beauty and Romance all around us.”
David Hejl began this project over ten years ago while he was CEO and General Manager of Kosta Browne. Domaine Della honors his mother’s legacy, an “incredible woman who raised eleven children and passed long before her time.”
